1. STANLEY NO. 984 CORNER BRACE, Notched-rectangle logo. Rosewood pad and handle. The ratchet and universal jaws are the same as on the 923 braces. They hold all ordinary size taper shank bits, also round shank bits or drills from 1/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter. A high-quality artisan's tool. Bronze bushed, ball bearing head. Box ratchet. Has been lightly cleaned, and is missing most of the nickel plating on the frame. A very good user, G+ .............. $65.00

2. NORTH BROS. YANKEE NO. 2101-8 IN BRACE. 8 inch sweep. Has the 1923 and 1925 patent dates. A brace of the highest quality. Ball Bearings throughout, Closed Ratchet. The chuck has alligator jaws that hold round, square or taper shanks up to 1/2 inch in diameter. These braces have the reputation of being the best. Very smooth ratcheting action. 4. STANLEY NO. 813-10 BRACE, 10 inch sweep. This is the heavy-duty version by Stanley. The highest quality in workmanship and materials. Bronze-bushed ball bearing head, box ratchet. Ball-bearing chuck with Universal jaws that hold all ordinary size taper shank bits, also small or medium round shank bits or drills. The back end of the chuck has a tapered, square hole to firmly seat the back tip of a tapered bit so it can't slip. 90% of the nickel plating remains. 10. GOODELL PRATT CO., NO 6010 BRACE, 10 INCH SWEEP, Pat'd Dec 27, 1892 on the chuck. This brace has a steel-clad rosewood head that runs on roller bearings, which are contained in a dust-proof compartment. The rosewood handle runs in adjustable collars. The sweeps are steel with smooth and even bends. The ratchet is strong and easily operated by turning the large knurled ring. The chuck socket and shell are malleable iron, jaws are forged steel. 15. MILLERS FALLS NO. 770 BRACE, 14 inch sweep. A top-of-the-line brace with the Lion patent chuck. 1907, 1909 and 1910 patent dates on the chuck. Ball bearing at every possible point. The Lion ball bearing chuck holds regular square-tanged shanks, No. 1 Morse taper shanks, and round shank drills from 1/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter. Rosewood handle and pad. The early one with the Leland Patent jaws. Ball-bearing head. Stained hardwood handle and pad is missing most of their finish. 1. A. A. WOOD & SONS, adjustable hollow auger. These are considered to be the Cadillac of hollow augers. Fully adjustable, cuts from 1/4 to 1 1/4 inch diameters. This one is in super condition, 95% of the shiny black enamel remains. Very crisp. A minor sharpening of the cutter will have this one ready to go. 3. A. A. WOOD & SONS, FORE AUGER. Made to cut a 1 1/4 inch diameter tenon with a tapered shoulder. Will work on stock up to 2 7/8 inch diameter. It has a depth stop.
   This seems to be especially suited for use making twig or pole furniture. The tapered shoulder adds a decorative touch and is a good way to mate the shoulder of the tenon with the curved, irregular surface of a twig. This rare tool is the only I have seen that will do this job.
   About 90% of the black enamel remains. There is some light patina on the bare metal surfaces. A very crisp example of a rare tool, G+++ .......... Sold $185.00

4. WOOD MFG. CO., ADJUSTABLE HOLLOW AUGER. An early Wood hollow auger with the Aug 10, 1875 and May 7, 1876 patent dates. Cuts any size tenon from 1/4 to 1 1/4 inches. Spoke Pointers

Spoke pointers are used to make a conical end on your stock to precede the hollow auger. Provides a firm start that is centered on the work. Dowel pointers are for smaller work, and can be used to chamfer (bevel) the tips of pegs for gluing joints.

1. STANLEY NO. 22 DOWEL SHARPENER. Looks like it will point up to 3/4 inch. Used to chamfer the edges of dowels for gluing-up joints in table tops or cabinet doors. 1. STANLEY SET NO. 32 1/2 QUARTERS, No. 100 SPUR AUGER BITS. In very crisp condition. Marked on the shank Russell Jennings, Made in USA, No. 100 and the size.
   The genuine Russell Jennings pattern, Extension Lip Auger Bits are made of special analysis steel, forged carefully. The bits in this set have the standard double thread point, and are unsurpassed for accurate work in seasoned woods not extremely gummy or hard.
   The set has 13 bits, size 4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16, in 1/16th inch increments. All the sixteenths add up to 32 1/2 quarter-inches, which is where the set number comes from. The bits have had very light use, and are shiny-nice with some very minor occasional stain. The spurs and lead-screws are great. Some may need a little touch-up with sharpening.
