Ken Roberts was an early tool collector that had a passion for information about old tools. He wrote several books, and reprinted several early tool catalogs in the 1970's. These early reference books have long been out-of-print.

This is a comprehensive reference to the different types of wooden planes made in the 19th century, and how to use them. There are catalog illustrations from several of the major manufacturers, and lots of illustrations of different wooden planes.
