Metallic Plane Co. Filletster Plane - With Filagree Fence
The Metallic Plane Company made some very distinctive planes. The filletster planes are probably the most attractive. Of the two filletster planes they made this one is my favorite, with the Gothic filagree on the fence, the curved styling of the body, and the long, graceful tip on the tote. This one is also the rarest, and is hardly ever seen.
This one has 90% of the japanning remaining and is in very good condition. There is no cracks or breaks in the fence. The tip of the tote is very nice, but there is a small chip off of the bottom right hand side of the tote.
