A well-crafted and unusual plane with some unique features. The most noticable is probably the strips of rosewood dovetailed in the sole. It has an extra-high hump on the body and an extra steel plate in front of the mouth with two screws to adjust the width of the throat for coarse or fine work.
This one is in uncleaned, original condition ... well, I wiped some of the dust off with a paper towel. Almost all of the japanning remains, with some dust and discoloration from age. There are two very thin flakes off the top of the handle, Fine ..................... Sold $695.00
