Used for work on flat or convex surfaces, also rabbeting work. The handles can be removed and screwed in the top to facilitate work in close areas. About 90% of the nickel plating remains. - WILLIAMS PATENT SPOKESHAVE-LIKE SCRAPER, This one has a convex bottom. Patented July 24, 1866. Has a ram's-horn shaped body and a front sole with the patent date.
This was apparently the first patent with a center screw to adjust the spring of the cutter. A rare tool, G+ ....... $175.00

- MILLERS FALLS NO. 1 CIRCULAR SHAVE. Reverse the cutter for flat or curved work. Rosewood handles on this shave with a circular shape permitting the tool to work in small circles. The knife is so pitched that it cuts instead of scraping the grain. Either handle is removable for working in cramped quarters. Has the Feb 19, 1884 patent date. Length 10 inches. 75% nickel plating. Needs some sharpening, G+ .............. $70.00

- STANLEY NO. 66 HAND BEADER, Feb. 9. (18)86 patent date is cast in the body, and S casting marks on the main pieces. 98% of the nickel plating is still there. There is apparently none on the straight fence, which is the only one here - it looks like there never was any. With eight double-ended cutters are professional reproductions, Fine .............. $135.00

- WINDSOR BEADER, Second type marked patent pending on the ebonized body. The patent date was June 2, 1885. The steel plate and fence have some light patina. This one comes with both of the original cutters, G+++ ......... $235.00

- WINDSOR BEADER, Steel frame and turned rosewood handle and knob. The third model stamped with the Sept. 15, 1885 patent date. Comes with four double-ended cutters and the fence. The frame has some rust and pitting, and the cutters have some stain and light rust, but are usable. Could use some cleaning, G ......... $155.00
